The working group was launched by co-chairs Juergen Symanzik and Daniel Jeske in order to identify and coordinate opportunities for the ISI and its Associations to help them improve their identity with data science research, education, and outreach.

The competition welcomes submissions from young-career statisticians, data scientists and researchers who can demonstrate the skills necessary for effective communication and who recognise the importance of explaining statistics to non-experts.

The journal of Data Science, Statistics and Visualisation is accepting submissions for a special issue on the modeling and visualisation of data about the spread of infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
The 24th International Conference on Computational Statistics at the University of Bologna, Italy was rescheduled to 23-26 August 2022 (postponed initially from August 2020, and later from August 2021).
The online 2021 IASE satellite conference will be held from 30 August – 4 September 2021. The conference International Program Committee calls for submissions in the form of papers, workshops and posters that fit the theme “Statistics Education in the Era of Data Science”.
