On 12 May 2021, the ISI and SIS organized an event in celebration of the International Year of Women In Statistics & Data Science (IYWSDS) and commemoration of the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birthday.

The ISI pre-WSC short courses programme, organized in cooperation with the ISI Associations, runs from 6 May – 1 July 2021. We invite ISI members as well as the broader statistical community to participate in the programme.

The 11th Conference of IASC-ARS will be held on 21-24 February 2022 in a hybrid format at Doshisha University, Japan.

Nicholas Beck, Christian Genest, Jonathan Jalbert and Mélina Mailhot win the Wiley-TIES Best Paper Award for their paper ‘Predicting extreme surges from sparse data using a copula‐based hierarchical Bayesian spatial model’.

Fang Han, Aaditya Ramdas and Anru Zhang win the 2021 edition of the BS News Researcher Award for innovative contributions in the field of Mathematical Statistics.

The Bernoulli-IMS 10th World Congress in Probability and Statistics (BS-IMS-WC) will be held virtually on 19-23 July 2021.

The International Environmetrics Society (TIES) is looking for volunteers who wish to be involved in various data science activities under the auspices of the ISI Working Group on Data Science.

The election of TIES board members is taking place from 10 May – 13 June 2021.

The 2021 IAOS General Assembly will be held virtually on 8 July 2021 at 2.00 - 3:00 pm (CEST).
