ISI WSC 2023: See who is on our dedicated Scientific Programme Committee (SPC)
The SPC is responsible for the Scientific Programme of the ISI World Statistics Congress. It will develop and coordinate the programme, including the call for sessions and papers, the submission and review process of abstracts, and the final structure of the programme.

Election of ISI Officers: Report of the ISI Nominations Committee
The election of ISI Officers to serve from 2023 will be conducted in late August – early September 2022. The ISI Nominations Committee chaired by Victor Pérez-Abreu has submitted its report and the slate of candidates. Individual ISI members can propose additional candidates from 20 April – 21 June 2022.
SJIAOS seeks new Editor-in-Chief
The Statistical Journal of the IAOS is seeking a new Editor-in-Chief to replace the current Editor-in-Chief, Pieter Everaers, starting July 2023. Closing date for expressions of interest has been extended to 30 April 2022.
ISC-ISI Webinar: Public Understanding and Use of Statistics in Relation to the Pandemic
The ISC presents its final webinar in a six-part series on COVID and the Social Sciences, Public Understanding and Use of Statistics in Relation to the Pandemic. The focus of this episode is on how statistics are analyzed, represented, and understood.
ISI Journal Stat - Call for Nominations for Editor-in-Chief
The ISI invites nominations for Editor-in-Chief of the journal Stat to serve from January 2023 to December 2026.
April 2022 issue of Significance now available online
The issue includes, among others, free access articles on COVID-19 and a piece devoted to “one of the most important statisticians of the past century” Sir David Cox (1924-2022).

JDSSV is an international refereed journal which creates a forum to present recent progress and ideas in the different disciplines of data science, statistics, and visualisation. The journal is completely open access.

Jana Asher appointed Chair of the ISI Committee on the History of Statistics
Dr. Jana Asher is Assistant Professor and Director of Statistics Education at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in the United States. She assumed her service as Chair of the Committee on 1 April 2022.
ISI launches new Committee for Capacity Building
The ISI is pleased to announce the formation of a new Committee to oversee our activities in statistical capacity building. The new ISI Capacity Building Committee includes members from the former ISI Statistical Capacity Building Committee and a wide variety of additional members to reflect its updated priorities and ambitions.
