IAOS-ISI 2023 Conference in Livingstone, Zambia: Submit your paper by 30 September 2022
The 17th IAOS Conference and 3rd ISI Regional Statistics Conference will be held in Livingstone, Zambia from 4 -6 April 2023. It is jointly organized by the IAOS, ISI and the Zambia Statistics Agency – ZamStats.

Cochran-Hansen Prize 2023: Call for submissions
The IASS Cochran-Hansen Prize is awarded every two years for the best paper on survey research methods submitted by a young statistician from a developing or transition country. The deadline for the 2023 edition of the prize is 3 February 2023.
2022 Hukum Chandra Memorial Prize awarded to Mahmoud Torabi
The IASS Prize Committee unanimously agreed to award the 2022 Hukum Chandra Memorial Prize to Prof. Mahmoud Torabi, University of Manitoba, for the paper “Sumca: Simple, Unified, Monte-Carlo Assisted Approach to Second-order Unbiased MSPE Estimation”.
2023 Founders of Statistics Prize: Call for submissions
The prize recognizes a research contribution that has had profound influence on statistical theory, methodology, practice, or applications. The deadline for submissions is 13 January 2023.
2023 ISI Jan Tinbergen Awards
ISI continues accepting submissions of papers for the 2023 Jan Tinbergen Awards for young statisticians. The deadline for submissions is 30 November 2022.
2024 Bernoulli Prize for an Outstanding Survey Article in Probability: Call for nominations
The Bernoulli Prize for an Outstanding Survey Article in Probability is to recognize authors of an influential survey publication in the area of probability. The deadline for nominations is 28 February 2023.
2023 ISI Mahalanobis International Award: Call for nominations
The award recognizes an individual for lifetime achievements in statistics in a developing country or region. The deadline for submissions is 13 January 2023.
Ray Chambers wins the 2023 Waksberg Award
The award is given in honour of Joseph Waksberg to recognize his contributions to survey statistics and methodology. Prof. Ray Chambers will give the Waksberg Invited Address at the ISI WSC 2023 in Ottawa.
JDSSV Special Issue on Statistical Learning, Visual Analytics, and Beyond: Call for papers
Following the successful DSSV conference in Tainan in June 2022, the Journal of Data Science, Statistics and Visualization launches a special issue on Statistical Learning, Visual Analytics, and Beyond with guest editors Ray-Bing Chen, Ying Chen and Anne Ruiz-Gazen.

International Science Council: Call for nominations to the ISC Fellowship
ISC Fellows are eminent scientists, engineers and thought leaders from across the spectrum of science and society. The Fellowship is the highest honour that can be conferred on an individual by the International Science Council and recognizes outstanding contributions to the promotion of science as a global public good.
First European Statistics Awards for Nowcasting launched
The competition has started on 1 September 2022 and will run until 30 April 2023. The contest is open to teams of up to five persons from various backgrounds and disciplines with skills in time series analysis, forecasting or nowcasting.
