Formerly known as Karl Pearson Prize, the Founders of Statistics Prize recognizes a research contribution that has had profound influence on statistical theory, methodology, practice, or applications. ISI invites nominations for the 2021 edition of the prize. 

The Mahalanobis International Award, sponsored by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation of the Government of India, recognizes an individual for lifetime achievements in statistics in developing country or region.

The ISI Jan Tinbergen Awards are for best papers for the biennial World Statistics Congresses (WSC) by young statisticians. Each award consists of €2,500 prize money and complimentary WSC registration.

On 28-29 October 2020, the ISI Young Statisticians Committee (YS-ISI) hosted a 2-day webinar “Data Science for Official Statistics using R”.

This international prize, designed to encourage more young statisticians to take an active interest in official statistics, is awarded for the best paper in the field of official statistics written by a young statistician. Submissions are due by 12 February 2020.

The journal Survey Methodology has established an annual invited paper series in honour of the late Joseph Waksberg to recognize his outstanding contributions to survey statistics and methodology. Each year a prominent survey statistician is chosen to write a paper that reviews the development and current state of an important topic in the field of survey statistics and methodology.

The virtual conference of The International Environmetrics Society (TIES) will be held from 2-4 December 2020. The aim of the conference is to provide a networking opportunity for specialists in statistics, epidemiology and environmental sciences and demonstrate the value of cross-disciplinary research in order to solve the most pressing problems of our society.
